About
We are Joe Nathan Baseball.
We hope to bring you baseball analysis from both a fantasy and MLB perspective. The following articles and pages will be featured on the website:

In order to ensure you send the best troops to the mound, we’ll detail the Rank and File. Each week, we will rank all of the 2-start pitchers for the upcoming scoring period. Each starter will be placed in one of four categories:
- Generals–These pitchers should spearhead your staff for the upcoming week. Plug them in and move along.
- Majors–These pitchers are among the better options for the next scoring period. Start with confidence.
- Sergeants–One-start options with clear forecasts are better than two start options with cloudy skies. Start at your own risk.
- Privates–If you play Russian Roulette long enough, eventually you are going to lose. Keep these guys on the league’s waiver wire or where no one else can see them.

Let’s face it; all we’re looking for is a little fantasy baseball love. But the tough reality is that love doesn’t always come easy, and neither does solid fantasy production. We can’t all date the prom queen; sometimes the only one available is her lazy-eyed friend. If you can’t have Albert Pujols, you’re still going to need somebody to hold onto during those lonely summer nights. In order to help you bring your “A Game” and land the best roster option possible, we will provide his Pickup Lines on a weekly basis. Each week, we’ll hook you up with two groups of possible replacements available in the free agent pool. The first group of players includes solid options and sleepers that are still available in roughly half of the mixed leagues. The second group will include deeper sleepers available in the majority of mixed leagues that may be better suited for NL/AL-only options.

Our closer report, Out Number 27, will detail closer rankings with updates on a continual basis to reflect the current closer landscape. Closers are broken down into three tiers:
- Exit Movers–Closers with elite stuff and a stranglehold on the job. When they come in, fans move it to the exit.
- Face Savers–It isn’t pretty, but they get the job done. Can look like Exit Movers one day and Adventure Rides the next.
- Adventure Rides–The results are not attractive.
